Happy Friday! Since September is all about scarves, I wanted to make a scarf that was stylish, totally versatile, unisex, modern and is quick and easy to crochet. The Stormy Skies Scarf was born! This scarf is done in a modern color block design that is inspired by the shifting weather.
Color block scarves are bold, eye-catching, customizable and unique. They are great Stash busting projects, since each block can be done with a different color of yarn or variegated yarn. You can make it in your favorite colors or in a specific color theme. Color blocking is not just for scarves, it works great for many different crochet projects such as sweaters, blankets, bags, and pillow covers.
Here we go a skein fresh off the hook,
This scarf is done in the Wattle Stitch pattern. This quick and easy pattern is a one -row repeat pattern done with basic crochet stitches. The chain stitch (ch), double crochet (dc), and single crochet (sc) all work together to create a unique reversable pattern.
Stormy Skies scarf has a cozy texture and a beautiful drape, which makes it perfect for everyday wear, over a heavy winter coat or to give that special someone as a gift!
I hope you enjoy this weeks pattern!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
