Daisy Bloom Granny

Yarn: Purl Soho, Cotton Chirp Dk, or any size #3 dk cotton yarn.

Materials: US Size F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, tape measure

Difficulty: Easy

Size: 4”(10.16 cm) x 4”(10.16 cm)

Gauge: 23 sts per inch

Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): beg – beginning, ch – chain, dc – double crochet, hdc – half double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single crochet, sk – skip, sl st – slip stitch, st(s) – stitch(es)

Notes: Beg ch-3 counts as a stitch, beg ch-2 counts as a stitch

Instructions:

Make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 11 hdc into ring. Join with sl st to beg ch 2, fasten off. (12 hdc)

Rnd 2: Join a new yarn to any st, ch 3, dc in same st, ch 1, *2 dc in next st, ch 1; rep from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (24 dc,12 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 3: Join a new yarn to any ch-1 sp, 2 sc in the same sp as join, ch 1, *2 sc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (24 sc, 12 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 4: Join a new yarn to any ch-1 sp, (ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp as join, (ch 1, 2 sc in the next sp) 2 times, ch 1, *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the next ch-2 sp, (ch 1, 2 sc in the next sp) 2 times, ch 1; rep from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (16 dc, 8 sc, 12 ch-1 sps, 4 ch-2 sps)

Rnd 5: Join yarn to any corner ch-2 sp, (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same sp as join, ch 1, (3 dc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1) 3 times, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the next corner ch-2 sp, ch 1, (3 dc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1) 3 times; rep from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (60 dc, 16 ch-1 sps, 4 ch-2 sps)
