Materials: US Size E-4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors. Sew on tote bag handles and sew in magnetic bag closure (I found them on Amazon or you can check Etsy)
Difficulty: Easy
Size: 14 ½” (36.83 cm) by 12 ¾” (32.38 cm) not including handles
Stitch Guide: ch(s) - chain(s), sc- single crochet, hdc – half double crochet, st(s) - stitch(es)
Special Stitches: Reverse Single Crochet (rsc)- insert hook in the next stitch to the right, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through the 2 loops on the hook.
Notes: Color changes are not noted in the pattern as to leave the creativity to you.
When changing colors start it in a different place each time. Weave in the ends or crochet in the ends as you go.
Instructions:
Chain 61
Note: from here you will be working around the ch 61 row (do not turn)
Rnd 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, now working on the other side of ch, sc in each ch across, join to the first sc. (120 sc)
Rnds 2-3: Sc in each st
around, fasten off. (120 sc)
Rnd 4: Join yarn to any sc,
hdc in the same st and in each st around. (120 hdc)
Rnds 5-41: Join yarn to any
sc, hdc in the same st and in each st around, weave in ends. (120 hdc)
Rnds 42-43: Join yarn to
any hdc, sc in the same st and in each st around, join to beg sc, do not fasten
off, weave in
Rnd 44: Ch 1 reverse sc in each st around, join to beg reverse sc,
fasten off weave in ends.
For best results, block before adding tote bag handles and liner.
Finishing: Add bag handles, if you prefer to add crochet handles refer to Crochet Summer Tote pattern.
