Notes: Color changes are not noted in the pattern as to leave the creativity to you.

When changing colors start it in a different place each time.              Weave in the ends or crochet in the ends as you go.

Instructions:

Chain 61

Note: from here you will be working around the ch 61 row (do not turn)

Rnd 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, now working on the other side of ch, sc in each ch across, join to the first sc. (120 sc)

Rnds 2-3: Sc in each st around, fasten off. (120 sc)

Rnd 4: Join yarn to any sc, hdc in the same st and in each st around. (120 hdc)

Rnds 42-43: Join yarn to any hdc, sc in the same st and in each st around, join to beg sc, do not fasten off, weave in

Rnd 44: Ch 1 reverse sc in each st around, join to beg reverse sc, fasten off weave in ends.

For best results, block before adding tote bag handles and liner.

Finishing:                                                                                    Add bag handles, if you prefer to add crochet handles refer to Crochet Summer Tote pattern.

You can use the bag as is, or you can add a lining to the bag which will make it sturdier. Here are a few tutorials about lining a crochet bag: (there are some great YouTube videos about lining a bag)
