Yarn: Small amounts of Cotton DK Yarn in all colors
Materials: US Size F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers, measuring tape, 4-8 unique buttons, needle and thread (to sew on buttons)Difficulty: Easy
Finished Size: 3 1/2" (8.9 cm) wide by 7 1/2” (19 cm) long
Gauge: 18 Sc and 21 rows = 4”
Stitch Guide: Ch(s)-chain(s), sc-single crochet, dc-double crochet, RS-right side, st(s)–stitch(s), Yo–Yarn over
Notes: The ch-1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch
Use any kind of buttons, just make sure they are not too heavy, heavy buttons will stretch the bracelet
The cuff bracelet can be made longer by adding stitches, remember to always have an odd number of stitches i.e. 31, 33, 35 and the cuff bracelet can be made wider by adding rows (repeat rows 4-6)
Instructions:
Chain 32 (31 +1)
Row 1 (RS): Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across,
turn. (31 sc)
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (31 sc)
Row 4: Ch 4 (counts as a ch 1 and dc), skip first st, dc in the next st, * ch 1, skip next st, dc in the next st; Repeat from * across (16 dc, 15 ch-1 sps)
Row 5: ch 1, sc in the 1st st, sc in the ch-1 space, * sc in the
next st, sc in the ch-1 space; Repeat from * across, sc in the 3rd ch of the
ch-4. (31 sc)
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in each st across. (31 sc)
Rows 7-9: Repeat rows 4-6
Rows 10-12: Repeat rows 4-6
Row 13: Repeat row 6, do not finish off, put in a stitch marker since the chains of color will be done first and then the buttonhole edging.
Adding Chains of Color:
Attach yarn to the 1st ch of the beginning ch-4 in row 4, (on the side of bracelet without the stitch marker).
Add the other chains of color to rows 7 and 10, weave in the ends.
Buttonhole Edging:
Remove stitch marker, turn the bracelet to the side, ch 4, 2 sc in the next space (between the chains of color), ch 3, 2 sc in the next space, ch 3, 2 sc in the next space, ch 3, sc in the last st of row, fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in ends, sew on buttons.
