inches (11.43 cm)

beg – beginning, ch – chain, dc – double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single

Each
snowflake was done with a strand of white and a strand of metallic yarn held
together.
Instructions:
1. Snow Petals:
Holding 2 strands of yarn together, make a magic ring
Rnd 1: ch 3, 11 dc in the ring, join to
the top of beg ch-3. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: * Ch 5, sc in the next st; rep
from * around, join to beg sc. (12 ch-5sps, 12 sc)
Rnd 3: Sl st in the first 2 sts of the next
ch-5 sp (to get to the top of the ch-5) sc in same sp, ch 3, * sc in the next
ch-5 sp, ch 3; rep from * around, join to beg sc. (12 ch-3 sps, 12 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in the ch-3 sp, ch 5, *sc in
the next ch-3 sp, ch 5; rep from * around, join to beg sc. (12 ch-5 sps, 12 sc)
Rnd 5: (sc, ch 3, dc, ch3, dc, ch 3, sc)
in the next ch-5 sp and in each ch-5 sp around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (36
ch-3 sps, 24 dc, 24 sc)
2. Icy Blossom Snowflake:
Holding 2 strands of yarn together, make a magic ring
Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc in the ring, ch 3, (2 dc,
ch 3) five more time in the ring. Join to the top of beginning ch-3. (6 ch-3
sps, 12 dc)
Rnd 2: Sl st into next ch-3 sp, (ch 3, 2
dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in the same sp, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in each ch-3 sp around, Join
to the top of beginning ch-3. (6 ch-3 sps, 36 dc)
Rnd 3: Sl st into next 2 dc and into ch-3
sp, sc in the ch-3 sp, ch 7, *sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 7; rep from * around, join
to beg sc. (6 ch-7 sps, 6 sc)
Rnd 4: Sl st into first ch-7 sp. (sc, ch
3, dc, ch 5, dc, ch 3, sc) in same sp and in each ch-7 sp around, join to beg sc.
(6 ch-5 sps, 12 ch-3 sps, 12 dc, 12 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in the first ch-3 sp, ch 5, *sc
in the next ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 5, sc in the next ch-3
sp, ch 5; rep from * around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (18 ch-5 sps, 18 sc)
Weave in ends,
stiffen with fabric stiffener, pin out flat stretching out each point, let dry and
add a hanger
3. Crystal Bloom Snowflake:
Holding 2 strands of yarn together, make a magic ring
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 11 dc into ring. Join to the
top of ch-3. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: (sc, ch 5, sc) in next st and in
each st around, join to the first sc. (12 ch-5 sps, 24 sc)
Rnd 3: Sl st into first ch-5 sp, (sc, ch
3, dc, ch 3, sc) in same sp and in each ch-5 sp around, join with to beg sc. (24
sc, 12 dc, 24 ch-3 sps)
Rnd 4: Sc into first ch-3 sp, ch 4, tr in
the dc from rnd 3, ch 3, sl st into top of tr (picot
made), ch 4, *sc in next ch-3 sp, sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 4, tr in the
dc from rnd 3, ch 3, sl
st into top of tr (picot made), ch 4, join to beg sc, fasten off. (24 ch-3 sps,
12 tr, 24 sc, 12 picot)
Weave in
ends, stiffen with fabric stiffener, pin out flat stretching out each point,
let dry and add a hanger
4. Frostflower Snowflake:
Holding 2 strands of yarn together, make a magic ring
Rnd 1: (Ch 11, sc) 7 times in the ring,
join to the first ch of ch-11. (7 ch 11 sps, 7 sc)
Rnd 2: Sl st in the next 5 chs of ch-11
(this is to bring the yarn to the top of the ch-11), sc in the ch-11 sp, ch 11,
sc in same sp, ch 3 * sc in the next ch-11 sp, ch 11, sc in same sp, ch 3; rep
from * around, join to beg sc. ( 7 ch-11 sps, 7 ch-3 sps, 14 sc)
Rnd 3: * 11 sc in the next ch-11 sp, ch
3; rep from * around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (you will need to fasten off the
yarn to get the yarn in the right place to start the next rnd) (77 sc, 7 ch-3
sps)
Rnd 4: Rejoin yarn to ch-3 sp, sc in same
sp as join, ch 14, * sc in the next ch-3 sp, ch 14; rep from * around, join to
beg sc. (7 ch-14 sps, 7 sc)
Rnd 5: * (7 sc, ch 3, 7 sc) in the next
ch-14 sp; rep from * around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (98 sc, 7 ch-3 sps)
Weave in ends, stiffen with fabric stiffener, pin out flat stretching out each point, let dry and add a hanger
