Yarn: 3 Skeins of Premier Puzzle Yarn 328y/300m (7oz/200g) color used #1050-51 pool, or any size 5 Bulky yarn
*(Note about yarn, the blanket took all of the 3 skeins of yarn with only a tiny bit left over, so if you are planning to make the blanket bigger or expand the border you will need 4 skeins of yarn)Materials: US Size L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, tape measure
Difficulty: Easy
Size: 38” (96.52 cm) x 38” (96.52 cm)
Gauge: 10 Ldc x 6 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)

ch – chain, dc – double crochet, hdc - half double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single crochet, st(s) –

Stitches: Linked
Double Crochet (Ldc): Insert hook
into the middle bar of the previous stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop.
Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook) yarn

Herringbone Half Double Crochet (Hhdc): Yarn over, insert hook
into next stitch and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), pull first loop straight
through the second (like a slip stitch), yarn over, pull through two remaining
loops on hook.
Notes: Ch 2 does not count as a stitch, ch 1 does not count as a stitch
Instructions:
Ch 92
Row 1: Sc in the 3rd ch from
hook and in each ch across, ch 2 turn. (90 sc)
Row 2: Insert hook into the 2nd
ch from the hook and pull up a loop, insert hook into the next st, (3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull through
2 loops, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops (beg Ldc made), Ldc in each
st across, ch 2, turn. (90 Ldc)
Rep row 2 until the blanket reaches 36”
(91.44 cm) long (or desired length), do not fasten off but continue to border.
Border: Border is worked around the blanket
Rnd 1: ch 1, turn to side of blanket, work 2 sc
in the corner, *sc evenly down the side of the blanket to the next corner,
work 3 sc in the corner; rep from * around, sc in the beg corner, join to beg
sc. (each side of blanket should have 88 sc and 3 sc in each corner)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, 3 Hhdc in the same st as join (this should be the center st of the 3 sc group), turn, Hhdc in each st down the side of blanket to the next corner, *3 Hhdc in the center st of the 3 sc group, turn, Hhdc in each st down the side of blanket to the next corner; rep from * around, join to beg Hhdc, fasten off, weave in ends.
