Putting the Scarf Together

The squares were put together using the invisible join method. B. Hooked Crochet has a great video explaining the invisible join method.

Join together 10 Granny squares, once that is complete, join a solid square at each end. (these will be the pockets)

Edging and Pockets

With the scarf right side facing up, place one granny square right side up on top of each of the solid squares. (You will be making a sc edging around the scarf and crocheting the pockets together as you go). Join yarn in the corner, making sure to catch the granny square and solid square, sc in the corner and in each st to the next corner, working up the side of the scarf sc in each stitch to the next corner (make sure to work through both squares when you come to the pocket), continue on the other end and side of the scarf, join to beg sc, fasten off, sc across the pocket edge on both pockets, fasten off, weave in ends

*Make as many Granny Square Pocket scarves as you like, but do not reproduce or sell this pattern. Please provide a link to the pattern or my blog when using this pattern on the internet*
