Granny Stripe edging:
Set up Rd:
Note: Since the next row is going to be done in the granny stripe pattern and this pattern is done in multiples of 3, the number of sc on each side needs to be divisible by 3.
Sc around the blanket making sure to have an even amount of stitches on all sides. Begin at the top right corner of the short side 3 sc in the corner st, sc in each st and ch sp across to the next corner, 3 sc in the corner, turn and continue to sc down the side to the next corner, 3 sc in the corner, turn and sc in each st and ch sp to the next corner, 3 sc in the corner, turn and continue to sc in each st and ch sp to the corner and join to beg sc. Do not fasten off yarn. (I came up with 100 sc on each side, 34 sc on each end, 3 sc in each corner sp).
Rd 1: Sl st to the center sc of the 3 sc corner, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same st, *skip 2 sts, work 3 dc into next st (this is a 3 dc cluster),* repeat from * to * to the corner 3 sc, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the center sc of the 3 sc corner, repeat from * to * to the next corner, around the table runner to beginning ch 3, join with ss, fasten off.
