Crochet Wash Cloth
Yarn:*Note: the Berroco weekend dk yarn has been discontinued, but you can use any other Dk yarn.
1 skein Stylecraft, Classique cotton DK 100 gms-3095 Greek Blue, 3565 Heather, 3664 Wisteria
*Note Stylecraft has changed their cotton Dk yarn it is now Naturals Organic Cotton and comes in 50 gm balls
Tools:
US Size H-8 (5mm) and J-10 (6mm) crochet hooks, yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape

Finished Size:
9" (229 mm) long X 10 1/2" (254 mm) wide
Gauge:
Berroco Weekend- 16 sc by 18 rows = 4"
Stylecraft- 18 sc by 18 rows = 4”
Stitch Guide:
Ch(s) - chain(s), sc - single crochet, dc- double crochet, RS - right side, st(s)– stitch(s),
Notes:
The best yarn to use is a cotton or cotton blend yarn. I was able to get a wash cloth and a bath puff out of one skein of yarn.
Instructions:
With the J-10 (6mm) crochet hook chain 40, switch to the H-8 (5mm) crochet hook
Row 1 (RS): sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, turn (39 sc)
Row 2: sc in each st across, ch1, turn (39 sc)
Row 3:*dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, skip the next st, dc in the next st; Repeat from *to the last st, dc in the last st, ch 1, turn (21 dc, 18 ch-1 spaces)
Row 4: sc in the first 2 sts, 1 sc in the first ch-1 space, 2 sc in each ch-1 spaces to the last 2 sts, sc in the last 2 sts, ch 1, turn (39 sc)
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until the cloth is 9" long, ending with row 4, ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (39 sc)
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in ends

Notes:
ch-3 counts as a dc

You can make a mini bath puff if you stop after round 3.
Instructions:
Make a magic ring (Magic circle),Rd 1:Chain 40, work 25 hdc in the ring, join with a ss to the 1st chain in the beginning ch 40, turn, do not close the magic circle, (25 hdc, ch-40 loop)
Rd 2: Ch 3, 3 dc in the first st, *4 dc in the next st; Repeat from * to the end, join to the beginning ch-3, weave the ch-40 loop through the center of the magic ring and pulled closed, do not turn. (100 dc)
Rd 3: Ch 3, 3 dc in the first st, *4 dc in the next st; Repeat from * to the end, join to the beginning ch-3, (400 dc)
Rd 4: Repeat round 3, (1600 dc)
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in ends
