Difficulty: Easy
Size: 11” (27.94 cm) round
Gauge:
26 sts x 36 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)
Abbreviations
and Stitches (U.S. Terms): beg
– beginning, ch – chain, dc – double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single
crochet, sk – skip, sl st – slip stitch, sp – space, st(s) – stitch(es)
Notes: Ch -3 counts as a stitch
Instructions:
Make a
magic ring
Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 11 dc into the ring, join
to beg ch-3. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each
st around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (24 dc)
Rnd 3: Join new yarn to any st, sc in same
st, *Ch 3, skip 1 st, sc in next st; rep from * around, join to beg sc. (12
ch-3 sps, 12 sc)
Rnd 4: Sl st into next ch-3 space, ch 3, 2
dc in same space, 3 dc in the next ch-3 sp and each ch-3 space around, join to beg
ch-3, fasten off (36 dc)
Rnd 5: Join new yarn to any st, sc in same
st as join, ch 5, *skip 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 5; rep from * around, join to
beg sc. (12 ch-5 sps, 12 sc)
Rnd 6: Sl st into next ch-5 space, ch 3, 5
dc in same sp, 6 dc in each ch-5 sp around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (72
dc)
Rnd 7: Join new yarn to any st, sc in the
same st as join and each st around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (72 sc)
Rnd 8: Join a new yarn to any sc, ch 4, *skip
2 sts, sc in next st, ch 4; rep from * around, join to beg ch-4. (24 ch-4 sps,
24 sc)
Rnd 9: Sl st into first ch-4 sp, ch 3, 4
dc in same space, 5 dc in the next ch-4 sp and in each ch-4 sp around, join to
beg ch-3, fasten off. (120 dc)
Rnd 10: Join new yarn to any st, sc in same st as join, ch 3, *sk 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 3; rep from * around, join to beg sc. (39 ch-3 sps, 39 sc)
Rnd 11:
Sl st into first
ch-3 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, *3 dc in the next ch-3 sp and in each ch-3

Rnd 12:
Join a new yarn to
the sp between the 3-dc groups, sc in same sp as join, ch 4, sc in next sp
between 3-dc groups, ch 4; rep from * around, join to beg ch-4. (39 ch-4 sps,

Rnd 13:
Sl st into first
ch-4 sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, 4 dc in the next sp and in each ch-4 sp around,

Rnd 14:
Join a new yarn to
any st, sc in the same sp as join, sc in each st around, join to beg sc. (156

Rnd 15: Sc in the same st as join, ch 3,
3 dc in the same st as join, * sk the next 3 sts, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in the next
