Yarn: 2 Skeins- Madelinetosh, Tosh Dk (225 yds/205 m) color: Coffee Grounds or any size 3 dk yarnMaterials: US Size H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook, scissors, tape measure, yarn needleDifficulty:
Easy
Size: 6”
(15.24 cm) wide x 61” (155 cm) long
Gauge: 10
sts x 16 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)
Abbreviations
and Stitches (U.S. Terms): ch – chain, mb-st, mini bean stitch, rep – repeat,
sc – single crochet, sk – skip, st(s) – stitch(es)
Special
Stitches: Mini Bean Stitch (mb-st)- insert hook into the specified st, yo, pull
up a loop, yo, insert hook into same st, yo, pull up a loop, (you have 4 loops
on the hook), yo, pull through the 4 loops on the hook, ch 1.
Notes: The
ch-1 at the end of the mb-st forms the ch-1 sp
The scarf
is done with an odd number of sts, ch 27 = 6” wide scarf, ch 31 = 7” wide
scarf, ch 35 = 8” wide scarf etc.…
Instructions:
Ch 27
Row 1:
Mb-st in the 3rd ch from hook, * sk next ch, mb-st in the next ch;
rep from * across, turn. (13 mb-sts)
Row 2:
mb-st in the first ch-1 sp, and in each ch-1 sp across, (ch-1 sp is the sp
between the mb-sts), turn. (13 md-sts)
Rep row 2 until the scarf is the desired length, fasten off, weave in ends.
