Granny Circle

Yarn: Madlandia, Hue-Mongous 100% cotton yarn dk size 3 yarn, the colors used are: A:
#1006 Red Shirt, #1003 Safety Dance, #1002 Yorange, #1010 Razzmatazz B: #1002 Yorang, #1010 Razzmatazz, #1013 wrong Lever, #1029 Kermie, #1025 Larry Salad. C: #1013 wrong Lever, #1017 Merlin’s Robes,# 1020 Sharntastic, #1001 Babble Fish

Materials: US Size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, Yarn Needle, scissors, tape measure

Difficulty: Easy

Size: 4 ½” (11.43 cm) round

Gauge: Yarn gauge: 15 sts x 18 rows = 4” (10.16 cm)

Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): beg – beginning, ch(s) - chain(s), dc - double crochet, sc- single crochet, sk – skip, sl st – slip stitch, sp – space, st(s) - stitch(es)

Notes: Ch-3 counts as a stitch

Instructions:

Make a magic circle

Rnd 1: Ch 3, dc, ch 1, *2 dc, ch 1; repeat from * 4 more times, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (12 dc, 6 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 2: Join a new yarn to any ch-1 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, in the same sp as join, ch 1, *3 dc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1; repeat from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (18 dc, 6 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 3: Join a new yarn to any ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2 dc in same sp as join, ch 1, *(2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next sp, ch 1; repeat from * around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (24 dc, 12 ch-1 sps).

Rnd 4: Join a new yarn to any ch-1 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, in the same sp as join, ch 1, (3 dc, ch 1) in each ch-1 sp around, join to beg ch-3, fasten off. (36 dc, 12 ch-1 sps)

Note: You can make the circle larger by repeating rounds 3 and 4, adjusting the number of chains to keep the circle flat.

Edging:

Rnd 5: Join yarn to any ch- 1 sp, sc in the same sp as join and in each st and ch-1 sp around, join to beg sc, fasten off. (48 sc)

Weave in ends and for best results block.
