Stormy Skies Scarf

Yarn: 218 yds/100g Arcane Fibre Works, Dk yarn in Charcoal, 123yds/ 50g Heathered yarn Co, DK yarn in Release The Bats! Wool2Dye4- Cash DK MCN #40874, 120 yds/50g Natural or 200g of Dk size 3 yarn

Materials: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook, Yarn Needle, scissors, tape measure

Difficulty: Easy

Size: 5¼" (13.33 cm) wide x 64" (162.56 cm) long

Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): ch – chain, dc – double crochet, hdc – half double crochet, rep – repeat, sc – single crochet, sk – skip, st(s) – stitch(es), tch – turning ch

Notes: Pattern is written in U.S. terms. Ch-2 counts as a stitch. Color changes are not noted in the pattern as to leave the creativity to you. 

Scarf is done in multiples of 3 + 2, so if you would like a wider scarf you can add to the chain row………. Ch 39 is about 6 1/2" (16.51 cm) wide scarf and ch 48 is about an 8” (20.32 cm) wide scarf. If you want to make the scarf longer, continue in the stitch pattern past 64” (162.56 cm)           

Instructions:

Ch 30

Row 1: Sk 2 chs, *(sc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch, sk 2 chs; rep from * to the last 2 chs, sk 1 ch, hdc in the last ch, ch 2, turn. (9 sc, 9 dc, 2 hdc, 9 ch-1 sps)

Row 2: sk first sc and dc, *(sc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch-1 sp; rep from * across, ending with a hdc in the top of tch, ch 2 turn. (9 sc, 9 dc, 2 hdc, 9 ch-1 sps)

Rep row 2 until the scarf is the desired length, fasten off and weave in ends.
