Pinwheel Throw Rug

Yarn: 6 skeins of Hobbii Bungee Mini, #08 Light Teal

Materials: US Size P/16 (11.5 mm) crochet hook, Yarn Needle, scissors, tape measure, stitch markers

Difficulty: Easy

Size: 33" (83.82 cm) x 33" (83.82 cm) 

Gauge: 7 sts by 10 rows

Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): rsc - reverse single crochet, sc – single crochet, sl st - slip stitch, st(s) – stitch(es)

Special Stitches: Reverse sc (rsc): working from left to right, insert hook from front to back in next st to the right, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook.

Notes: 6 skeins of yarn make a 33" (83.82 cm) throw rug, if you would like to make the rug larger increase the number of skeins used.

*The rug is done in a continuous round, so it is helpful to put a stitch marker in your beginning st.

Instructions:

Make a magic circle

Rnd 1: 6 sc into the circle (6 sc) *see note about stitch marker

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Sc in first st, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (18 sc)

Rnd 4: Sc in first 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (24 sc)

Rnd 5: Sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (30 sc)

Rnd 6: Sc in first 4 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 4 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (36 sc)

Rnd 7: Sc in first 5 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 5 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (42 sc)

Rnd 8: Sc in first 6 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 6 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (48 sc)

Rnd 9: Sc in first 7 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 7 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (54 sc)

Rnd 10: Sc in first 8 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 8 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (60 sc)

Rnd 11: Sc in first 9 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 9 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (66 sc)

Rnd 12: Sc in first 10 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 10 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (72 sc)

Rnd 13: Sc in first 11 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 11 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (78 sc)

Rnd 14: Sc in first 12 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 12 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (84 sc)

Rnd 15: Sc in first 13 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 13 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (90 sc)

Rnd 16: Sc in first 14 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 14 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (96 sc)

Rnd 17: Sc in first 15 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 15 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (102 sc)

Rnd 18: Sc in first 16 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 16 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (108 sc)

Rnd 19: Sc in first 17 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 17 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (114 sc)

Rnd 20: Sc in first 18 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 18 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (120 sc)

Rnd 21: Sc in first 19 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 19 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (126 sc)

Rnd 22: Sc in first 20 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 20 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (132 sc)

Rnd 23: Sc in first 21 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 21 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (138 sc)

Rnd 24: Sc in first 22 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 22 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (144 sc)

Rnd 25: Sc in first 23 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 23 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (150 sc)

Rnd 26: Sc in first 24 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 24 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (156 sc)

Rnd 27: Sc in first 25 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 25 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around. (162 sc)

Rnd 28: Sc in first 26 sts, 2 sc in the next st, *sc in the next 26 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join to beg sc. (168 sc)

Rnd 29: Ch 1, rsc in each st around, join to beg rsc,  (168 rsc)

Fasten off and weave in ends. Block lightly.
