Ocean Drift Scarf

Yarn:
1 skein of Madelinetosh, Tosh Dk yarn (225yds/205 M) in Nassau Blue and 1 skein of Hanalei Hand-dyed yarns SW Merino dk (231 yds/100 gr) in Tunnels Reef 

Materials: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) crochet hook, scissors, stitch markers, tape measure, yarn needle,

Difficulty: Easy

Size: 6 ½" (16.51 cm) wide x 67" (170.18 cm) long

Gauge: 20 dc x 9 rows = 4 inches (10.16)

Abbreviations and Stitches (U.S. Terms): ch – chain, dc – double crochet, rep – repeat, sk – skip, st(s) – stitch(es), tch – turning ch

Special Stitches: Dc2tog-(Yo, insert hook in next st, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 2 loops) twice, yo and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Notes: The ch-3 at the beginning of each row counts as a stitch. Color changes were made every 2 rows. Stitch markers were added to the materials since they can be used to help keep stitch count while doing beginning chain.

Instructions:

Ch 280

Row 1: Dc into 4th ch from hook, *dc into each of next 3 chs, (dc2tog over next two chs) 2 times, dc into each of next 3 chs, (work 2 dc into next ch) 2 times; repeat from * across to the last 3 chs, dc in each ch.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc into first st, * dc in the next 3 sts, (dc2tog over next 2 sts) 2 times, dc in the next 3 sts, (2 dc into next st) 2 times; repeat from * across to the last 10 sts, dc in the next 3 sts, (dc2tog over next 2 sts) 2 times, dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in the top of tch.

Repeat Row 2 until you reach the desired width is achieved, fasten off, weave in ends and for best results block.
