Stitch Guide: ch(s) - chain(s), sc- single crochet, dc - double crochet, st(s) - stitch(es)
Notes: Ch-3
counts as a stitch.
Instructions: Mini Granny Square (make 9)
Make a magic ring
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, * 3 dc in ring, ch 2, repeat from * two more times, join to beginning ch 3, fasten off- (4 dc clusters, 4 ch-2 sps).
Rnd 2: Join new yarn to any ch-2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same sp, (corner made), ch 1, *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the next space, ch 1; repeat from * two more times, join to beginning ch 3, fasten off, weave in ends. (8 dc clusters, 4 ch-2 sps, 4 ch-1 sps).
For best results block the mini granny squares.
Join the mini granny squares in 3 rows of 3 (see photo), using the invisible join method.
Edging Rnd: This is worked around the joined granny squares
Join yarn to any ch-2 corner sp, 3 sc in the same sp as join, * sc in each st and ch-1 sp to the next ch-2 corner sp, 3 sc in the corner sp; Repeat from * around, join to beg sc, fasten off, weave in ends, and for best results block.
