Yarn: Paintbox Cotton Dk Yarn 50g/1.7 oz/125m/137yd. Four different colors were used for each Mandala. Or any size 3 cotton yarn.Materials: US Size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, yarn needle, scissors, tape measure
Difficulty: Easy
Size: 9” (22.86 cm) round
Gauge:
22 sts x 30 rows = 4” (10.16

and Stitches (U.S. Terms):
beg – beginning, ch – chain, dc – double crochet, hdc – half double crochet, rep
– repeat, sc – single crochet, sk – skip, sp – space, st(s) – stitch(es)

Stitches: Beg dc3tog
in ch sp, ch 3, yarn
over, insert hook into ch space, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two
loops, yarn over, insert hook into same space, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull

Notes: Pattern is written in U.S. Terms. Ch-3 counts as a stitch.
Mandala may puff in the center as you crochet but will
flatten out after being blocked. (the Mandalas in the photo were steamed
blocked with an iron)

Rnd 1: Ch 4 (counts as a dc and ch-1), *
dc in the ring, ch 1; rep from * 6 more times, join to beg ch-4, fasten off. (8
dc, 8 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 2: Join yarn to any ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc
in same sp, ch 1, *2 dc in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * around, join to
beg ch-3, fasten off. (16 dc, 8 ch-1 sps)
Rnd 3: Join yarn to any ch-1 sp,
(beg dc3tog, ch 2, dc3tog) in the same sp as join, ch 2, *(dc3tog, ch 2, dc3tog)
I the next ch-1 sp, ch 2; rep from * around, join to beg dc3tog, fasten off. (16
dc3tog, 16 ch-2 sps)
Rnd 6: Join yarn to the center of any sc,

Weave in ends and for best results block.
