Harvest Bloom Mandala

I can not believe it is already mid October, sweater weather has begun, the leaves are falling and Halloween is just around the corner. This weeks mandala is called the Harvest Bloom Mandala, it celebrates the beauty of the season in a fresh, contemporary palette. The Harvest Bloom Mandala blends the warmth of orange with the elegance of black, gray, and white for a look that’s both festive and timeless.

Here we go a skein fresh off the hook:

This pattern is great for crocheters of all skill levels, using basic crochet stitches such as double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc) and single crochet (sc) with a few special stitches. The special stitches include front post half double crochet (fphdc), front post dc (fpdc) and the Picot (P). Beginning crocheters can quickly learn the special stitches!

The inspiration for this mandala comes from the beauty of the fall landscape. The fiery glow of pumpkins and leaves set against misty gray skies and the dark silhouettes of bare branches.

Harvest Bloom is part of Autumn Mandala Month, a special series of crochet designs inspired by fall's colors and textures. Pair it with the Pumpkin Glow or Falling Leaves mandalas to make a beautiful display that celebrates the season.

Gather your yarn, settle in with your favorite drink, and start stitching your own autumn mandalas.

Have a hooky day! Lynne
