Star Flower Snowflake

Happy July! A month where we celebrate 4th of July and Christmas in July! Many people think that Christmas in July is made up, but according to whiteelephantonline.com The tradition began in "1933 when counselors at the Keystone Camp in Brevard, North Carolina threw what is believed to be the first Christmas in July celebration...... They continued the tradition and eventually it spread throughout the south." Many of us may not celebrate Christmas in July but this might be a great time to start thinking about your holiday crochet.

During the month of July, you can add a little holiday magic to your summer with our free holiday crochet patterns.

Here we go a skein, fresh off the hook:

                                                     Star Flower Snowflake

These quick and easy crochet snowflakes are done in chain and single crochet stitches, making the great for crocheters of all skill levels.

The great thing about crochet snowflakes is that they can be done in traditional white or in different color schemes and can be made into ornaments, bunting/garland or used to decorate gifts.

Christmas in July may not be for you, but it is never too early to get started on holiday decorating or gifting!

Have a hooky day! Lynne
