Even though beanies seem like a wintertime item and many people only wear them when it is cold, beanies have become a style statement and many people wear them year around! This has become such a popular trend that you can find many websites that give advice about wearing a beanie in the summertime. The next beanie pattern for November is a lightweight beanie that can be worn year-round. I like a lightweight beanie in the winter as my head seems to get warm quickly.
This classic pattern is worked in rounds from the top down using hdc stitches and has a finished edge using reverse sc stitches.
Here we go a skein, fresh off the hook:
The Anytime Beanie pattern is:
- A simple pattern to follow and sometimes simple is the best, one or two stitches and nothing complicated.
- Great for crocheters of all skill level from beginner to advanced.
- Worked from the top down so it can be made as long or short as you like, by increasing or decreasing the rounds.
- A pattern that can be worked up quickly and can be made in a variety of colors, so it is great for last minute gifts!
This beanie is done in a simple pattern because it is more about the yarn then the pattern. Keeping the stitches simple, helps to show off the beautiful yarn!
Using color takes this simple beanie from plain to bold! Just think about the possibilities!
I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving on your end!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
