Retro Mandala

May is one of those great months, the weather is good, not too hot not too cold and the flowers here are in bloom! This is the time of year when the we see the vibrant colors of Spring. Since April I have been trying to add more color to my life, so why not add a few colorful Mandalas? Mandalas are great crochet pieces to add a splash of color to your home! You can make them in any color combination and in all different sizes. This week's focus is color combinations of the past, oh how the colors of the 1970's bring back memories.

Here we go a skein, FOTH:

This Mandala pattern is great for crocheters of all levels and is a great stash buster since you can use small amounts of yarn in different color combinations to make your Mandala.

This retro 1980's mandala was done in Chunky thread by Lori Holt, the colors used were Cayenne, Beehive, Basil, Denim, and Peacock.

I have been looking for new decorating ideas to refresh my walls and mandalas are not only quick and easy, but they are fun to create. What do you think about a Mandala wall?

Have a hooky day! Lynne
