Its July and things are starting to heat up here on the west coast! for the month of July we will be offering Boho crochet patterns. You may ask what is Boho crochet? well according to the website Mochila, "Boho crochet is a style of crocheting that takes inspiration from the bohemian fashion trend, which is characterized by its free-spirited and artistic aesthetics. This style often incorporates a mix of textures, colors, and patterns, creating a sense of relaxed elegance and creativity. It is not confined to a specific set of stitch patterns or color schemes. The true essence of this style lies in its versatility and ability to express individuality."
I love working with Boho crochet as it allows me to be creative and crochet out side the box! You can mix yarns of different colors and textures with many different crochet stitches. Boho crochet usually has tassels, lace and fringe. For some they might think of the 1960's "Flower child" style.
The first pattern for this month is:
As you can see this scarf has many different colors and textures of yarn as well as different crochet stitch patterns. This is an easy scarf to make as it is done with sc and dc stitches arranged in a creative way.
If you like colorful and mixed texture designs and fringe, then Boho crochet may be for you!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
