How many tote bags do you own? Tote bags are one of those items that come in handy, so most of us have more than one! They come in many shapes and sizes and are made from all different types of materials. I have seen tote bags made out of plastic bags, floral fabric, gum wrappers, yarn and an old pair of Levi's. How cool is that!
I love tote bags, especially crocheted tote bags, they are fun to crochet and can be made in all different designs and colors. Crochet tote bags are the perfect accessory for summer and a great way to carry around the items you need for a trip to the beach, the park or the farmers market. And of course they are a great way to carry your crochet essential with you on your travels.
The pattern for this week is a summer tote that can be hooked up in no time!
This summer tote uses beginner friendly crochet stitches. It is made with dc stitches that are worked into an offset V stitch pattern and small stripes of sc stitches. The base of the bag is a crochet oval worked in a continuous round and the sides are worked around the oval. The straps of the tote are crocheted on the body making the tote one piece, so no seaming is necessary!
The crochet Tote is done in a color block pattern, so it will look good in many different color combinations!
