Mandala Chair Pad

Happy February! And Happy Groundhog Day!                                        According to Punxsutawney Phil we will have an early spring, that is good news for all who are experiencing crazy weather! February is the midpoint in the winter, where we can see the return of the light, look forward to spring, and celebrate those we love.                                                                                                                                          February is one of my favorite months, so I would like to share with you one of my favorite things to crochet, Mandalas! What is a Mandala? In the world of crochet, a Mandala is a circular pattern created using various colors of yarn, crochet stitches and techniques that forms a unique design. Crochet Mandalas are modernized doilies and have become a popular way of expressing oneself.

The first Mandala pattern for February is the new and improved:

                                     Mandala Chair Pad

                        

    Even though the chair pad is square it has a Mandala in the middle!

The Mandala Chair Pad is made with Hoooked soft 100% recycled cotton tape yarn that comes in lots of colors, even neon shades, and is considered a bulky weight yarn. This pattern is great for crocheters of all skill level and works up quickly using basic crochet stitches.
