Hello to all, I hope everyone is doing well! I am excited to share with you the second pattern for February, it is a Mandala that looks like a traditional granny square. This is a pattern that merges a granny square with a Mandala. The motif is round, just like a Mandala, but the stitches used are the ones used in the traditional granny square.
Here we go a skein, fresh off the hook:
This Mandala pattern is great for crocheters of all levels and is a great stash buster since you can use small amounts of yarn in different color combinations to make your Mandala.
Why are crochet Mandalas popular?
- Crochet Mandalas add a pop of color to your decor and have many uses.......wall decor, table decor, blankets, rugs, ottoman cover, pot holders, and the list goes on.
- Mandalas have become so popular over the years that the yarn company Lion Brand has named one of their multi-color yarns "Mandala" yarn.
- They have been done in many different color schemes, many different crochet stitches and many different patterns, making each one unique.
- Many people think that crocheting mandalas can be a healing experience.
Mandalas are one of my favorite things to crochet, making them allows me to be creative with yarn colors and combining different stitches.
Grab your hook and yarn and lets get creative together!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
