Star Flower Granny square

The last granny square for the month of August is the Star Flower granny square. This granny squares reminds me of the summer stars in the sky, the star at the top of the Christmas tree, and the fireworks on the fourth of July. Stars have been a part of many people lives and hold many different meanings. They are something that shine bright all year around.

Here we go a-skein something fresh off the hook:

The color combinations were fun to put together! As I was thinking of colors combinations to use, I was reminded that the summer will be ending soon, and we will be falling into the holiday season. So, I made the Star Flower Granny in holiday colors.

The Holiday Granny was done in Stylecraft Special Dk yarn colors: 1709 Gold, 1005 Cream, 1116 Green, 1246 Lipstick.

The Winter Blue Granny was done in Stylecraft Special Dk yarn colors: 1002 Black, 1001 White, 1034 Sherbet, 1068 Turquoise.

The Just Peachy Granny was done in Stylecraft Special Dk yarn colors: 1005 Cream, 1026 Apricot, 1065 Meadow, 1132 Shrimp.

The Americana Granny was done in Stylecraft Special Dk yarn colors: 1246 Lipstick, 1001 White, 1722 Strom Blue.

December is right around the corner, so it is time to start thinking about crochet gifts. I will begin with one of the most common gifts that people crochet, coasters. September will be coaster month. There will be new patterns and a few of the previous patterns renewed.

Have a hooky day,

Lynne
