It is mid October and the weather here is finally starting to feel like fall. I love this time of year with the leaves turning colors, falling from the trees, and the temperatures are getting cooler!
This scarf pattern is for my granddaughter Annie. She is a new to crochet and is learning fast! The last time I visited, I taught her how to crochet and she did a great job working with basic crochet stitches. I told her the next time I came to visit, I would write her a pattern and bring her the yarn to make a cool scarf!
This is a great first scarf for new crocheters and a quick and easy scarf for experienced crocheters. It was done with single crochet stitches and has a simple color change. You can make it with or without fringe, so it a great scarf for all!
Oh, and did I mention that Annie loves Harry Potter, so she could use this pattern to make a Gryffindor (Red and Gold), Hufflepuff (Yellow and Black), Ravenclaw (blue and Bronze), or Slytherin (Green and Silver) scarf, by using yarn the colors of her favorite Hogwarts House.
This scarf would look great in school colors or your favorite sports team colors and would make a great gift!
I can't wait to see how Annie's first scarf will turn out!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
