Granny Squares and Stripes Blanket

Happy Friday!                                                                                    As March moves on we get closer and closer to Spring! The weather is warming up, the trees and the daffodils are starting to bloom and Spring break is right around the corner. It is time to bring out the Spring and Summer crochet!

Our third pattern for Granny Square month is a combination of granny squares and granny stripes fashioned into a colorful Spring Blanket. I just love blankets that brighten up the room!

Here we go a skein, fresh off the hook:

                                     Granny Squares and Stripes Blanket

This pattern consists of Sunburst granny squares, mini granny squares, granny stripes, and a colorful edging. The sunburst granny square gives this blanket a different look, but if you like the traditional granny squares you can replace the sunburst granny squares with traditional ones, just make sure your squares are 4 x 4 inches (10cm x 10cm).

This project is not as quick to make, since you have to make the granny squares, join them together and add the granny stripe rounds, so if you are looking for a easy to make blanket that provides a little challenge, this blanket is for you!

Have a hooky day! Lynne
