Boho Fingerless Gloves

I blinked and it is already the end of July! The last pattern for the month of July, is another boho accessory. Fingerless gloves, they are easy to make and look fantastic. They are a great accessory since they keep the wrists and hands warm while still allowing for finger movement. Many of us have a problem with regular gloves since the fingers can be too long or they just do not seem to fit right, so fingerless gloves come in handy.

Fingerless gloves are a part of everyday fashion and worn by people of all ages. But over the years they have been used for functional purposes by fishermen, labors, equestrians, and athletes. They became a icon of style and expression in the 1980's, with the Punk Rock revolution and were the signature style of the pop singer Madonna. This week we are mixing fingerless gloves with Boho crochet.

So here we go a skein:

                                    Boho Fingerless Gloves

This is a simple design that is great for crocheters of all skill levels since it uses basic crochet stitches and can be completed in less than a day.

The pattern includes sizes for adults and children and includes instructions on adjusting the pattern to make the gloves larger.

So grab those hooks and scrap yarn and lets get crocheting!

Rainbow Table Runner

Why are table runners popular? Many people decorate with table runners since they are practical and brighten up any table. According to Kim Seybert "They add color, texture, and pattern, instantly transforming a plain table into a focal point of style". They have been used to decorate tables at weddings, graduations, banquets, and outdoor gatherings.

If you are looking for a way to add color to your table for the next summer brunch or luncheon, then a crochet table runner is a great way to add color and style to your table and show off your crochet skills!

Here we go a skein, fresh off the hook:

                                The Rainbow Table Runner

This colorful lacy table runner is easy to make using basic crochet stitches, and the repeating pattern allows for effortless color changes to create the rainbow color scheme.

The great thing about this table runner is that you do not have to add fringe as the edging gives it a finished look. But just for fun I added fringe done in rainbow colors to give it the Boho look!

I hope you enjoy this pattern and want to thank you for stopping by to check out my free patterns. Make sure to share them with your crochet friends!

Boho Cuff Bracelets

Bracelets, who doesn't love bracelets? Like tote bags, scarves, hats and purses you can never have too many! They come in many styles and are made with all different types of materials from plastic to gold and diamonds. And some people have bracelet tattoos! Bracelets date back to the Ancient Egyptians who wore bracelets for a fashion statement and to show their wealth.

This weeks pattern mixes colorful yarn with button embellishments to make a unique cuff bracelet.

Here we go a skein:

                                                      Boho Cuff Bracelets

Crochet bracelets are quick to make and customizable. You can choose your colors and decide what types of buttons or embellishments to add which gives them a personal touch.

The Chains of Color Beanie posted on November 10, 2023, is based on the same design as the Boho Cuff Bracelets.

I look forward to sharing more Boho crochet patterns with you!

Boho Skinny Scarf

Its July and things are starting to heat up here on the west coast! for the month of July we will be offering Boho crochet patterns. You may ask what is Boho crochet? well according to the website Mochila"Boho crochet is a style of crocheting that takes inspiration from the bohemian fashion trend, which is characterized by its free-spirited and artistic aesthetics. This style often incorporates a mix of textures, colors, and patterns, creating a sense of relaxed elegance and creativity. It is not confined to a specific set of stitch patterns or color schemes. The true essence of this style lies in its versatility and ability to express individuality."

I love working with Boho crochet as it allows me to be creative and crochet out side the box! You can mix yarns of different colors and textures with many different crochet stitches. Boho crochet usually has tassels, lace and fringe. For some they might think of the 1960's "Flower child" style.

The first pattern for this month is:

                                              The Boho Skinny Scarf

As you can see this scarf has many different colors and textures of yarn as well as different crochet stitch patterns. This is an easy scarf to make as it is done with sc and dc stitches arranged in a creative way.

If you like colorful and mixed texture designs and fringe, then Boho crochet may be for you!
