Summer Scarf

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word scarf? For many people they think of cold winter days and snow. Scarves are a fashion item that can be worn year around! In winter a scarf is made for warmth, but in summer, a scarf is more of a fashion statement.

The summer crochet pattern for this week, is a summer scarf made with a cotton dk yarn crocheted in a light and lacy pattern. *This is a revision of my Light and Lacy scarf pattern published in Happily Hooked Magazine Issue #7, October 2014*

Here we go a skein:                                                                                                                      Summer Scarf

Crocheted scarves make great accessories, since they add a dash of color or personality to any outfit and can be worn around the neck or on your head.

The summer scarf pattern is great for crocheters of all levels and is quick and easy to make! The stitch pattern is a three row repeat, using basic crochet stitches and a spike dc stitch. The edging is done in a reverse sc which gives the edges a finished look.

Grab your hook and yarn and crochet a summer scarf for you or make one for a friend!

Have a hooky day! Lynne
