Since Granny Square day has passed and we are keeping with the granny square theme this month, this post and the last post of the month will be focused on granny square blankets. The first granny square blanket is a baby blanket. I love making a baby blanket for the new arrival, since every new baby needs a snuggly blanket to call their own! When crocheting baby blankets, I like to use a classic crochet pattern that is simple, but looks complicated. Sometimes the best things are the simple things!
This baby blanket is quick and easy to crochet and a great first blanket for beginners. If you can crochet a granny square you can make this blanket! (see photo below)
If you would like to make a blanket larger than a baby blanket, all you have to do is continue in the granny square pattern.
Stay tuned, next week I will be giving a Scrapghan update!
Have a hooky day! Lynne
